After reading the positive reviews on Amazon and Overstock I purchased this item for my wife as an anniversary present as she has been wanting this bed for a while since it looks just like the Crate and B bed that she loves. Unpacking the Headboard I immediately noticed a large 8 to 10 inch pull in the fabric right in the center of the headboard with a large light blue "X" in marker beside it, which means it was noticed at the factory. I also noticed that unlike the left side, the right side screw threads for the side boards were missing. I called Amazon to see about sending a replacement headboard since the other parts appear to be made correctly and look ok. Amazon has been great to deal with. While I stayed on hold the CS agent called Baxton Studio and was told the issue would have to be addressed on Monday and for him to call back then. (today is Saturday) The Amazon CS decided rather than have me wait and see what Baxton Studio would do about it on Monday he would arrange to exchange the whole bed for me and do pick up at the same time the replacement is delivered. I'm very impressed with Amazon as always they are standing behind the product but a little weary of Baxton Studio and this Made in China product. I hate buying Chinese, this is one reason why. Hopefully this is just a fluke. Baxton Studio should have a better response for customers and Amazon than call back Monday, especially if they answer the phone on a Saturday and they need to ensure that their manufacturer is not sending out known defective products to customers.
Update - I received the replacement bed in a timely manner. This one passed visual inspection and went together beautifully. I am glad that I inspected it prior to the driver leaving though. This replacement shipped with no hardware, wood legs, etc. so I was able to take what I needed from the outgoing return. If you order this bed be sure to check it out before the driver leaves and save yourself some headaches.
